Well, I already blew NaBloPoMo by completely forgetting to post on November 1st, so I guess the pressure to post daily is officially off.  It's just as well, since this month is looking to be a very busy one.

It's been WAY too long since I've checked in on LJ (although, to be fair, I was "unplugged" for about a week while we were on vacation in MI; I didn't even bother to pack my laptop) and it's been even longer since I've posted anything.  So let's fix that, shall we?

I love Cooking Day!  Lots of meals prepared, portioned, and frozen in one day to last us for weeks.  A couple of weeks ago I made Chicken Parmesan and Eggplant Parmesan and put it n the freezer, but this weekend, we really got serious.  We cleaned out the refrigerator, restocked our staples and started in on a pretty big list:

I'm sure you're all getting sick of hearing about my mundane household chores, but that's all I got for you today. I did laundry. Lots and lots and lots of laundry. I sliced off the hostas this afternoon.  They needed it.  When they're all leafy and green, they look like Fizzgig from "The Dark Crystal" (see avatar picture), but when they die off, they look like sea urchin-like aliens with all their ungainly, dry stalks.  I also did a little weeding, but I should ( Read more... )
